Sexuality & Disability: workplace policy made easy
People with a disability have the same rights to make friends, form relationships and decide what is best for their body as anyone else. Many organisations have lots of questions about how to provide support to people with a disability in the area of sexuality.
Sexuality & Disability: workplace policy made easy is a half day workshop designed to inform managers and policy officers of organisations who are wanting a best practice approach to develop a positive sexuality policy.
Prior Knowledge:
This workshop focuses on policy development and assumes prior knowledge in the area of sexuality and disability. Participants should have an understanding of sexual lives of people with a disability (including myths and barriers), models of sexuality, rights-based framework and some of the relevant legal issues. Ideally participants will have previously attended an FPNSW sexuality & disability course but this is not essential.

Learning Outcome
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Identify legal considerations when developing a sexuality policy
- Describe ways to implement a rights-based and positive sexuality framework within workplace policy
- Develop strategies to implement a sexuality policy within a whole of organisation approach

Cancellation up to two weeks prior to training date or from receiving course material will incur a cancellation fee of 10% of the training fee quoted.
Cancellation less than two weeks prior to the training date or from receiving course material will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the training fee quoted.
Cancellation on the day of training will incur a 100% payment of training fee quoted.
If it is necessary for Family Planning NSW to cancel a course, participants will be notified two weeks before the commencement of the course.
