Senior Health Promotion Officer – Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Program
Full Time – based in Ashfield
Family Planning NSW is an independent, not-for-profit organisation focussing on the promotion, collection and dissemination of reproductive and sexual health knowledge, information and learning to people in NSW.
The Senior Health Promotion Officer - CALD is responsible for the leadership of a state-wide program of health promotion projects and staff, focussing on improving the reproductive and sexual health needs of people from a CALD background. Senior Health Promotion Officers provide health promotion leadership in the organisation. This full time position is based in the Ashfield office
We are seeking applicants who have:
- Tertiary qualifications in health promotion, public health, social science (with a health promotion major), health education or related field
- A minimum of 5 years experience in health promotion or public health working within the CALD community. This should include planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting health promotion projects
- Experience conducting needs analyses including identifying processes that are effective in setting priorities for health promotion action
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and implement health promotion activities and projects
- Proven ability to monitor programs and adjust objectives and strategies based on the analysis of evaluation data
- Experience in establishing partnerships with relevant organisations and facilitating collaborative action
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and effective team skills
- Demonstrated ability and experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of community based education projects which utilise evidence based strategies
