Services
Family Planning NSW Hunter provides a range of reproductive and sexual health services for men and women of all ages from all cultural backgrounds.
Professional and confidential services offered at Family Planning NSW Hunter include:
- Information on all forms of contraception for men and women
- Checks and treatment for Sexually Transmissible Infections (STI's)
- HIV/AIDS tests and information
- Pap tests and breast awareness
- Implanon (contraceptive implant)
- Pregnancy tests
- Post-natal checks
- Advice and information about pregnancy, preconception, menopause, infertility, sterilisation, and pre-menstrual tension
- Written information on reproductive and sexual health (in some languages other than English)
Health Promotion
Family Planning NSW Hunter provides information on any aspect of sexual health and sexuality, for young people, and men and women of all ages. The Hunter Health Promotion Unit delivers programs and education sessions at local high schools, TAFE’s, youth services and works closely with culturally diverse communities.
