Scholarships for medical practitioners working in rural or remote NSW
Family Planning NSW is pleased to offer four scholarships worth $5,000 to registered medical practitioners currently working in or planning to work in rural or remote areas of NSW.
The scholarships will enable four medical practitioners to complete the Sexual Health & Family Planning Australia Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health.
This certificate acknowledges that the participant has demonstrated a level of competence in theory and clinical skills which enables him/her to practice confidently in the area of sexual and reproductive health in primary health care. The certificate has been recognised by the RACGP, ACRRM, RANZCOG and AChSHM.

How are scholarships awarded?
Scholarships will be awarded to medical practitioners who can best demonstrate that completing this course would improve the reproductive and sexual health outcomes for their community. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants as well as medical practitioners working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are encouraged to apply.
Recipients will be selected by the Family Planning NSW Scholarship Committee and are awarded at the absolute discretion of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Where applicants are required to attend for interview, such applicants will, where appropriate, be granted assistance with travel costs.
