FPNSW celebrates International Day of People with a Disability

Every year on December 3rd, communities worldwide celebrate International Day of People with a Disability (IDPwD), a United Nations sanctioned day which promotes achievements and contributions of people with disability, as well as encourages support for their dignity, rights and well-being.
For more than 30 years Family Planning NSW has engaged with the disability community by developing disability-specific community workshops and professional education to build the capacity of disability workers and carers. These courses target workers from various government departments, disability service providers as well as family members supporting people with a disability.
