What is a Research Study?
Research Studies help us find answers to health related questions. These include prevention of disease, maintenance of good health and the delivery of health services to many different groups of people.
Some research studies involve interviews, surveys or focus groups. Others are designed to focus on testing the benefits and side effects of a new drug or device. All research studies are approved and monitored by a registered Ethics Committee. All research studies comply with rules set out by the Therapeutic Goods Agency (TGA), the Australian regulatory body for all clinical trials.
How safe is it to volunteer?
Before joining a research study the risks and benefits are fully explained and all questions answered thoroughly.
You sign a consent form to confirm you have made an informed choice. You have the right to withdraw at any time if you decide to do so.
If you would like to volunteer, please complete the form below and a research nurse will contact you.
