Question

Can I skip my period on Trifeme/Triphasil/ Triquilar/Logynon pills?

Answer

These are called 'triphasic pills' and the brand names are Trifeme, Triphasil, Triquilar and Logynon. These brands contain identical ingredients and are interchangeable.

You can skip your bleed with these pills, however, if you skip the placebo or 'dummy' pills with a triphasic pill and start a new packet, you are likely to get spotting or bleeding. This is because the brown pills at the beginning of the pack are a lower dose than the mustard ones at the end of the pack.

One way to avoid this is to open another packet and continue taking the mustard pills for as long as you don't want to bleed.
