Regional Centre Manager

Position summary

Supported by the Integrated Health Services team, the Regional Manager is responsible for the operation of clinics in Hunter and Dubbo, and the development of outreach opportunities for regional NSW. The position works within the Family Planning NSW Clinical Governance framework to support the delivery of clinical services which are safe, effective and client-centred.

 

Responsibilities

The Regional Manager is responsible for leading the multidisciplinary clinical services and contributing to achieving the objectives of developing and maintaining a robust clinical governance system.  The Regional Manager leads the delivery of high quality and professional clinical services to regional clients and referrers with a focus on targeted priority populations defined by the organisation.

The Regional Manager is responsible for the operational management of the regional clinics and oversees the planning, service delivery, quality assurance, reporting, administration, financial and human resource management of the regional services.

The Regional Manager is expected to coordinate effort and leverage resources to achieve the strategic goals of the Integrated Health Services division and the operational goals and financial targets of the regional services as laid out in the annual business plan and funding agreements.

This is a multi-faceted role which includes regular site visits to monitor regional clinic locations and services. The position is responsible for clinic performance, staff recruitment and orientation, oversight of clinical quality & audit, stakeholder liaison, partnership development and formal evaluation of partnerships.

The role requires a high level of management knowledge, skills and experience, sound operational judgment and critical thinking skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, an ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and an ability to work well under time pressure and adjust to changing work demands effectively.

Essential criteria

Essential

  • Degree qualifications in management, health, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in business planning, service delivery and evaluation, human resource management, project management, budgeting and reporting
  • Demonstrated success in driving and implementing change in the clinical setting
  • Strong leadership, supervision and mentoring skills
  • High level ability to manage competing demands and demonstrate flexibility in adapting effectively to change
  • High level interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skills including advocacy and networking skills
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement and adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Sound computer skills, including MS Office applications
  • Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s License and ability to travel throughout greater metropolitan Sydney and across NSW

Desirable criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in managing service delivery in a community setting working with relevant population groups, particularly people from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background, CALD background, people with disability or young people

Other requirements

  • A Criminal Record Check is required prior to commencement in the role
