Graphic Designer

Fixed Term, Part Time - 24 hours/week (19/04/2021 - 15/10/2021)

Location: Ashfield, 2131, NSW

Base Salary: $65,492.10 - $69,229.95 (Pro rata for Part Time)

Gross Salary Package (Base Salary + Superannuation + Leave Loading): $80,968 - $85,111 (Pro rata for Part Time)

Position summary

The Graphic Designer is part of the Communications and Marketing team. The position will be responsible for the development of all design requirements, including education modules, health promotion collateral, branding material, organisational documents, newsletters, digital media resources and advertising artwork.


Working within the Communications and Marketing team, the Graphic Designer will:

  • Design and produce innovative high quality resources, where required arranging printing and production of materials;
  • Contribute designs to the Family Planning NSW website and social media platforms;
  • Ensure that the organisational image and overall messages presented by Family Planning NSW in all resources are consistent and high quality- acting as a custodian of the organisation’s visual ‘brand’;
  • Assist in the development and management of the Family Planning NSW Style Guide to ensure the consistency and quality of publications and resources;
  • Work with the Media and Communications team to produce effective material to support the communications strategies.

Essential criteria

  • Qualifications in graphic design or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven track record in resource design, development and production including print production processes, editing and proofreading.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite software.
  • Demonstrated ability in designing original campaigns and resources.
  • Strong project management skills and experience engaging and managing external design and printing agencies.
  • Strong team work skills, attention to detail and collaborative approach.
  • 3-5 years’ experience.
  • Ability to work to time constraints and manage internal approvals processes.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Experience in health related field
