To maintain accreditation, our systems, policies and processes are rigorously reviewed by the Australian Government. Family Planning Australia receives support through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP).

Family Planning Australia is the international development pillar of Family Planning NSW. We are accredited by DFAT for effective management of international projects.

Complaints

Family Planning Australia Code of Conduct and Ethics reflects its commitment to transparency, accountability, and integrity. Family Planning Australia is a signatory to the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct, which is a voluntary, self-regulatory sector code for good practice. As a signatory, we are committed and fully adhere to the ACFID Code of Conduct, undertaking and evaluating our work.

If you are not satisfied with our response to your complaint and believe our organisation has breached the ACFID Code of Conduct, you can lodge a complaint with the ACFID Code of Conduct Committee at code@acfid.asn.au. Safeguarding

Family Planning Australia is committed to the safeguarding of everyone involved in our projects including children and vulnerable adults, and recognises that protection faces particular challenges in the international development setting. Family Planning Australia has a zero-tolerance approach to sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment and and child exploitation and abuse, and believes all people have the right to be safe at all times.

Family Planning Australia is committed to responsible management of all our operations to achieve the least possible environmental and social impact. Family Planning Australia recognises the imperative of developing strategies that integrate the conservation of nature and development of natural resources with human centred, rights based and sustainable development.

Family Planning Australia is committed to safeguarding the organisation against terrorism financing and money laundering activities. Family Planning Australia recognises that non-profit organisations are at risk of being misused by individuals or other organisations to launder money and/or finance or support terrorist activity, and has therfore adopted the best practice principles to counteract these risks.
