Course description

This 1 day professional development day is designed for nurses, midwives and health professionals and provides the latest news and changes in practice and research in reproductive and sexual health. Facilitated by Family Planning NSW Nurse Educators and guest speakers, the event covers the latest approaches, guidelines and resources to enhance your knowledge to better support clients around reproductive and sexual health. This development day is an opportunity for clinicians from across NSW to connect with experts and peers to discuss case studies and the application of new learning in their clinical environments.  

 Content includes:  

  • Contraception
  • Cervical screening update  
  • Sexually transmissible infections (STIs)  
  • Menopause and perimenopause

Eligibility / Prerequisite

Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or AHPRA registration.

Assessment

N/A

Recognition / Accreditation

Participants who attend the whole day will receive a Statement of Attendance.

This course is equivalent to 6 hours to meet the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) requirements for CPD.
