Sexuality, Health and Facilitating Groups - 3 day workshop

Sexuality, Health and Facilitating Groups is a three day workshop designed for Aboriginal Health Workers from a variety of different settings. It is not a clinical course, but by the end of the workshop you will have the knowledge to be able to plan and deliver an information session on a range of topic areas about reproductive and sexual health.

This is a competency based workshop and you have the option to be assessed in delivering information about reproductive and sexual health.

This workshop has been delivered in 9 locations across NSW to Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.

Strong Family Program - 3 day reproductive and sexual health program

The Strong Family program has been developed following consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in NSW. The program brings together Men and Boy's groups and Women and Girl's groups to yarn about the key issues in their community regarding reproductive and sexual health.

The program has been developed to engage both Elders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth in conversations about parenting, relationships, positive sexuality, contraception, puberty, growing up, drugs and alcohol, family structure and identity, creating role models, supporting each other and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

This program has been delivered in multiple locations across NSW to Elders and Aboriginal youth.
