Family Planning NSW believes in a holistic approach to health, including strengthening your mental wellbeing through psychology services.

Psychology services are currently available from the Family Planning NSW Newcastle clinic, offering support for people with

  • anxiety, depression (including postpartum and perinatal)
  • lifestyle behaviour change (exercise and weight management)
  • life coaching, grief and loss counselling, anger management
  • health coaching
  • adjustment disorders (including reaction to sexual and reproductive health conditions)
  • self-esteem and self-identity
  • parenting
  • pregnancy options
  • social skills.

Our sliding fee structure has been established to enable all people to access this service without financial barriers. Medicare rebates are also available with a mental health care plan referral from your general practitioner .
