Aboriginal Health Plan

The Aboriginal Health Plan 2024–2028 is a culturally informed strategy that guides Family Planning Australia’s work to improve reproductive and sexual health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in NSW.

Drawing on the foundation of previous Reconciliation Action Plans and the NSW Health Aboriginal Health Plan, the strategy outlines clear priorities and actions across four focus areas:

• Improving health outcomes
• Enhancing service delivery
• Strengthening partnerships
• Building a culturally safe workforce

The plan includes demographic data, case studies of past programs, and examples of meaningful engagement, providing both context and evidence for future action. It outlines strategic actions designed to improve health outcomes, enhance service delivery, strengthen partnerships, and build a culturally safe workforce. Oversight from the Aboriginal Health Working Group ensures accountability and progress, embedding these actions across all areas of the organisation.
