Aboriginal Health Worker Cervical Screening Training

Commencing in March 2023, Family Planning Australia is delivering free cervical screening training for Aboriginal Health Workers across NSW.

Free information sessions on cervical screening for Aboriginal Health Workers are being held by Family Planning Australia, supported by the Cancer Institute NSW.

This training aims to:

  • provide Aboriginal Health Workers with an overview of sexual health and reproductive anatomy
  • provide Aboriginal Health Workers with an update on cervical screening including changes to self-collection
  • build the capacity of Aboriginal Health Workers to communicate key information to Aboriginal women within their communities regarding cervical screening

All sessions include a catered lunch.
