Overview of Study

The aim of this study was to evaluate a regimen designed to reduce the number of bleeding days for women with continuous use of either the combined pill (Microlevlen) or the vaginal ring (NuvaRing).

Many women experience menstrual symptoms during the pill free week which might be reduced by "skipping the sugar pills."

Over the course of 12 months, the study assessed if the regimen reduced bleeding/spotting episodes and whether it made a difference for those women who usually experience PMT, headaches and other menstrual symptoms.

Number of participants required: 140
