Disability Audit Tool

• Develop and trial a Disability Inclusiveness Audit Tool to assist organisations and individuals in identifying strengths as well as gaps and weaknesses in being inclusive of people with disability.

• Audit tool tested with Reproductive and Family Health Association Fiji and the Vanuatu Family Health Association. Staff and volunteers have completed individual written surveys and taken part in a reflection on the findings.

  The Disability Inclusiveness Audit Tool covers a range of areas such as policies and procedures, physical accessibility, recruitment and employment, staff development and training, good practice and personal experience. These provide an insight into how the organisation operates, from employing people with disability to providing services to people with a disability.

In 2016/17, the project aims to

• develop and implement an action plan for Reproductive and Family Health Association Fiji and the Vanuatu Family Health Association to be disability inclusive.
