Sexuality Education: It's Not That Scary
Course description
Enhance your knowledge of sexuality and sexual health education with this short webinar co-delivered by Family Planning and the Department of Education.
The webinar will address the principles of sexuality education, including innovative and engaging ideas for curriculum delivery, co-organised by NSW Education, NSW Health and Family Planning Australia. This session builds the knowledge of teachers, leaders and wellbeing staff in sexuality and sexual health education.
Registration is available through the Department of Education.

Who should attend?
Department of Education staff as below:
- DoE Teachers of stages 3,4 and 5
- DoE PDHPE teachers and coordinators
- DoE Principals, Deputy Principals and other School Leaders
- DoE Staff in wellbeing or support roles such as school counsellors and year advisors
- DoE Life Ready presenters
- DoE Casual teachers
Course structure
Single webinar, held on Tuesday 28th October, 3:30pm – 4:45pm.
Eligibility / Prerequisite
Webinar participants should work for the NSW Department of Education.
Assessment
There is no assessment component.
Course cost
The course is funded, no cost for participants.
Recognition / Accreditation
Recognition will occur through the Department of Education.
