Clinic fee estimates

Family Planning NSW is committed to delivering high quality reproductive and sexual health services to all members of the community.

As Family Planning NSW is a not for profit organisation that relies on donations, self-generated income and government funding to provide services, we charge a low fee for our clinical services.

These fees reflect the specialty service we provide, whilst ensuring all clients have access to our services.

You can find further information on the estimated schedule of fees by downloading the Fee Information brochure (PDF).

The following exemptions apply. Our clinic services will continue to be bulk billed to:

  • Clients aged 18 years and under
  • Health Care Concession Card holders
  • Pensioner Concession Card holders
  • Low Income Health Care Card holders
  • Recipients of Youth Allowance
  • Tertiary student concession card holders

We are committed to ensuring equality in accessing our services. If clients are unable to access our services due to financial hardship or other circumstances, they can speak with one of our clinicians regarding discretion to bulk bill.

Medicare claims

Medicare claims can be processed at the time of your consultation by swiping your EFTPOS card. We will submit your claim to Medicare on your behalf and your refund will be deposited directly into the bank account attached to your EFTPOS card within minutes. Please note, Medicare rebates can not be made to a credit card account.

If you do not want to swipe your EFTPOS card, you will need to register your bank details with Medicare to get electronic refunds directly deposited into your bank account.

If you have not registered and do not swipe your EFTPOS card, you will need to submit the relevant information to Medicare to make a claim. You will need to submit this claim either at a Medicare branch or by post, and Medicare will post a refund cheque to your address.

To register your bank account details with Medicare, you will need to complete the registration form available from our reception desk or through the Department of Human Services website.
