Scholarships covering tuition fees are available for this course.  Applying for a scholarship does not secure a place in the course. Registering and paying in full will secure course entry for eligible applicants. Successful scholarship recipients will be refunded their course fees. Scholarships are now open for the course on 10-11 April 2019 course.  Scholarship applications close on 2 January 2019.

Course description

This course aims to increase midwives’ ability to provide holistic care for women and their families during the reproductive continuum.

This course consists of a 16 week online eLearning program providing participants with a greater understanding of reproductive and sexual health issues with a 2 day interactive workshop in Week 8.

You will:

  • Develop skills in cervical screening

  • Increase your understanding of STIs in the perinatal period including taking a relevant history

  • Gain confidence in educating women on their postnatal contraception choices

  • Broaden your skills in caring for women with a disability

  • Explore trauma informed care

Please note:  This course does not contain a clinical component, however it will be combined with a Cervical Screening Module with practice on anatomical models and also practice patients for cervical sampling simulation.
