Timor Leste

Family Planning Australia

Family Planning Australia has been working in Timor-Leste with Cooperativa Café Timor since 2009. Our project has focused on increasing access to sexual and reproductive health services through implementing a peer education project specifically for men, with the goal to improve maternal and child health and end gender-based violence. This project has recently expanded to incorporate women and girls.

"This program has brought a good impact for the younger woman who has just given birth. Before her husband was very lazy but now after the program he has changed his behaviour towards her."
