Cervical, breast and bowel screening is important for everyone, but we know that people with intellectural disability and autism spectrum disorders are not screened as often as they should be. Staff play a critical role in supporting clients with their health needs and we know that training can be expensive and difficult to find. Our Just Checking online learning program has been specifically designed for disability support workers. It gives workers access to resources developed to help start the conversation about cancer screening.

The learning program includes content on cervical, breast and bowel cancer screening and gives you access to resources specifically developed to guide these conversations. These include:

  • videos
  • social stories with a glossary of words and their meanings
  • support person's tool
  • planning templates

The program takes about one hour to work through. Use the navigation bar at the side to work your way through each of the modules at your own pace.
